WHAT CAN COOLER INK DO FOR YOU?
The Cooler Ink addition to your existing press sump will maintain a consistent ink temperature of between 70º and 80º, which is the optimum temperature for printing ink. This ensures premium print quality throughout the entire printing operation and a reduction in press down time.
“The most important factor in maintaining consistent print quality for even the best ink formulation is controlling the temperature of the ink. After a lifetime career as both a Pressman and Technical Service Representative, I built Cooler Ink to stop ink deterioration and provide consistent print quality for the entire job!”

COOLER INK IN THE NEWS…
Read Gary’s Article on Controlling Ink Temperature on Press in the October Gravure AIMCAL Alliance Newsletter
When not controlling ink temperature on press; it’s been determined throughout the Gravure & Flexo printing industry, most printing problems occur after a few hours into a production run. During this crucial time many variables are changing; such as encountering print issues coupled with making ink or press adjustments resolving these problems.
ADVANTAGES OF USING COOLER INK SYSTEMS
Liquid Ink
Reduces issues that usually occur after the first few crucial hours of Flexo or Gravure press operation and improves the printability of solvent or water-based inks.
- Maintains the same ink consistency as when the ink manufacture first made the ink.
- Helps sustain viscosity control with less solvent or water reduction.
- Maintain the ink temperature between 70º and 80º reducing evaporation of VOCs such as amines, alcohol, esters, diluent, etc.
Expensive Press Components:
- Doctor blade/ cylinder wear in both gravure and flexo are reduced.
- Reduces and or eliminates anilox or cylinder scoring and wear associated with high ink temperature.
- Minimizes or in many cases prevents dirty print from occurring due to ink drying on the printing plates.
Print Quality:
- Minimizes ink tracking by reducing the need for slow solvents due to dirty print.
- Minimizes cylinder hazing, streaking ink trapping.
- Minimizes inconsistent ink color by reducing the need to adjust the ink.
- Improves process printing by improving dot quality.
Ease of Use:
Connect between your existing sump pump and press using easy quick connect fittings. Just hook it up to the air source and let Cooler Ink start cooling your ink.
Design Advantages:
- No water, no electricity, no mess.
- Adjustable air pressure for desired cooling temperature.
- Temperature gauge included on unit.
